By inviting, installing, or using DownDetector Bot, you agree to these Terms of Service and to comply with applicable laws and platform rules, including Discord's terms and policies.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You represent that you are authorized to manage the Discord server where the bot is installed and to configure channels, monitor targets, and alert workflows.
3. Definitions
- "Service" means DownDetector Bot and related support services.
- "Server Owner" means the person or entity administering a Discord server using the Service.
- "Monitor" means a configured target endpoint or URL watched by the Service.
- "Incident Data" means status, latency, and outage metadata generated by monitors.
4. Permitted Use and Restrictions
You may use the Service for legitimate uptime monitoring and incident communication. You may not use the Service to:
- Conduct unauthorized scanning, abuse, spam, or harassment.
- Interfere with platform security or availability.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass, or disrupt Service safeguards.
5. Service Availability and Changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. Features, limits, and functionality may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, including for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
6. Suspension and Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated if usage presents abuse, security risk, legal risk, or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DownDetector Bot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including losses resulting from downtime, delayed notices, missed alerts, or configuration errors.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
